Isaiah 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, your ways my ways, saith the Lord. As the sky above the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I love puzzles, I am so much fun to open a new puzzle and run my fingers through the window to make sure that all parts are separated. Then I spread on the table and begin to sort by color, pattern and texture, untilhave a variety of places. Of course, I start finding pieces of board and make the frame. This is the easy part! Then, patiently, carefully, gradually unfolds the scene, as one by one, each piece is in place.
Once our family is a very large puzzle that took days to put together. With great enthusiasm we put the final pieces in place, only to discover that the last piece that was missing! We searched high and low, but it was nowhere. I hoped achildren was a trick to beat us, and hid the missing piece in his hand. But no, it was only the distance piece, which to us an incomplete picture on the table. I was frustrated and tired!
Much of life is like a puzzle. It 's easy to focus on bits and pieces, and not look like the result. Or, if things do not seem to unite and create confusion in the gaps in the picture, life seems hopeless or out of control. Gradually creeping depression and anxietyand stealing the joy and peace of the present and hope for the future.
But God is in control. He is holding all the pieces, and just in time, can and has created to make a good photo of even the most difficult and trying situation. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. His plan and purpose are much higher than what you can and I understand. We can be sure that one day will be the last piece in briefPlace and the image of life is complete. By God, there are no defects. What a comfort to know that covers all the pieces in his hands the sovereign. None of them is lost or transferred.
